Hi, I'm D3monicwolf

I'm a socially anxious, very awkward, mildly autistic guy. I like to play games with my friends, have a very lovely girlfriend, and am over analytical of the smallest things. Welcome to my corner of the internet.
As of now the D3monicwolf corner consists of a twitter, twitch, YouTube channel, small music set, and this blog.


When I think of what D3monicwolf is, it's really just my way to blow off steam and forget about the real world (except for twitter but it won't let me forget the real world). 

Overall what you can expect on this blog is my skewed take on my different interests, from game reviews, Dev logs, and random rants, to eventually i may even put a poem or two up here. It really depends on what comes to mind that day.
I am going to attempt to update this blog every monday, but don't hold me too that.

Updates (Dev log 0?)

Hey guys, long time no chat, But I do have an exciting update.  First things first, I reached 100 Subscribers on youtuber. I cannot Thank you all enough, that happening hand in hand with my 10 years milestone is absolutely amazing. As for what might change: I'm going to start a development log of a game that I have been working on. Overall this blog will no longer be just for reviews but any and all activity around the D3monicwolf Brand. Now including my game dev stuff, and any major updates. Stay tuned for new updates. So as for the game, we are working on a Roguelike game that's centered around you playing as somewhat of an antagonist. I don't want to go into too much detail right now as not a whole lot is concrete.. Right now its still early wireframe and I'm working on a lot of the backend stuff for it. Cryohazard

 I was lucky Enough to get a free Key from the devs, I am not paid for this review Cryohazard is a spooky turn based roguelike where you are the conductor of a train. As you go through you navigate a map, unlocking and lore of whats going on in this cursed world.  The game was developed in 6 months by BossyPino .  The music in this game is absolutely a bop. Like in El dorado, I forgot to speak and just vibed to the music a lot while playing this game on YouTube. The artwork is cute but creepy, making immersion very easy. The combat is surprisingly complex for how simple the game is. Each turn you get 1(?) movement and each cart on your train can take 1 action. So if you have 1 enemy on your back car and 1 on your middle car you could shoot the middle car, accelerate, (pushing the middle enemy to the back car, so now you have 2 on your back car) and then shoot the back car. Dev Log 2 (11/18/24)

Hi guys! Over these past weeks I've finished the streamlining process for our shell characters in that I can use the same scripts for any and all enemies and future player characters we make. (Movement, basic ai, stuff like that) Right now, I'm finishing up on working out a few bugs in the AI. Speaking with my partner they will begin work on the initial starting room so we can really get the movement and balance worked out here very soon. But with all of that we are making some great progress. I'm up to 2500 lines of code and boy do my wrists feel it. Sorry this isn't a huge update, it's just been a lot of me making the same code yet more streamlined so it hasn't felt like much progress was made. But I know doing things this way with shell characters is going to be a lot simpler. Thanks for tuning in :)
