Photography class

Image
I took a photography class in high school. It was a film photography class where we used some old cameras that made everything manual. This class was amazing as it taught me 2 things. 1. There is no real difference between the quality of photographs of Film and Digital, people who say film is better are just elitists. Digital cameras just make people lazy and Auto focus doesn't work as well as doing it yourself so the pictures just look worse. Here is my first picture I've taken with a camera that my girlfriend has given me, its a Panasonic DMC-FZ8, so, like almost 20 years old. This isn't bad because the camera is old, or because it's a digital camera, its bad because I'm a bad photographer. 2. The second thing I learned in that Film Photography class is that, photography is amazing and photoshop is important. Yes, you can take a picture that looks amazing, but if you haven't used a camera in almost 10 years, the ability to touch up the pictures is really nice...

Devlog 1 (10/18/24)

Hey guys! New update to the game here, I guess this is where I'll post everything we've done so far and kind of get you all into the loop about where we plan on going from here.  So as you may have seen in my last " Dev log 0 " as I called it, we are working on a game in the Unity Game Engine.  We made this choice as I kind of already knew the basics of C#. In that I had slightly more C# knowledge than I did for C++, also I have a slight history in unity because of my sheer amount of failed game dev projects. (Long ADHD/Caffeine fueled nights where I felt motivated and wanted to make the next science-based, 100% dragon MMO ).  Well with our introductions in order, consider this the most productive I will ever look on these dev logs as I have a few weeks of work done already and am currently undoing some of it. (We'll get to that).  So, the basic Idea of the game (as it stands) is that it is a roguelite where you play as a monster trying to break out of a lab. T...

Updates (Dev log 0?)

Hey guys, long time no chat, But I do have an exciting update.  First things first, I reached 100 Subscribers on youtuber. I cannot Thank you all enough, that happening hand in hand with my 10 years milestone is absolutely amazing. As for what might change: I'm going to start a development log of a game that I have been working on. Overall this blog will no longer be just for reviews but any and all activity around the D3monicwolf Brand. Now including my game dev stuff, and any major updates. Stay tuned for new updates. So as for the game, we are working on a Roguelike game that's centered around you playing as somewhat of an antagonist. I don't want to go into too much detail right now as not a whole lot is concrete.. Right now its still early wireframe and I'm working on a lot of the backend stuff for it. Ill post a cropped photo and videos of the unity editor so you can see a little bit of the progress. Right now its very basic with the player having a few attacks th...

20 Minutes Till Dawn

Image
20 Minutes Till Dawn is a really fun "Survivors-like" Roguelike game by the developer " Flanne ". It has a really good feel through the levels and few bugs I have encountered in my ~6 hours of playtime as of writing this. The controls are very simple, you move and shoot enemies. Some characters have a special ability that happens on right click. There are 12 characters to play as and 8 weapons, 3 maps, with 125 upgrades between the tree and in-game upgrades. I personally play as Lillith as I love summon builds in games like this. Combined with the Batgun and I just feel unstoppable on most of my runs. 20 minutes till dawn more like 20 minutes of OP-ness.... Ill see myself out. Much like many Survivors-like games, there's not much, if any, of a story that I could find here, but I don't find that to be a bad thing. As the lack of a story really gets lifted in some very nice feeling combinations, or synergies, of abilities and upgrades. Overall I do Highly rec...
